In October 2019, the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment approved a Modification to the Development Approval to relocate and amend the layout of the substation. The purpose of this is to allow for improved safety during construction of the substation by allowing more space. The change in layout is to shift the 33kV Switchroom away from the substation. TransGrid will be building, owning and operating the onsite substation whereas the 33kV switchroom will be owned and operated by the solar farm.
